Total number of Sahabah;
(1) Imam Shafi’ee (ra) said 90 thousands.
(2) Imam Abu Zur’a Al Razi (ra) said 114 thousands.
(3) Shaykhul Islam Hafiz Ibn Taymiyah (ra) said, “لا تحصى ولا تعد” Not countable”.
Out of them only 1,018 Sahabah have narrated Hadith from Holy Prophet (saw) which is just about 1% percent. This indicates how Sahabah were careful regarding narrating Hadith. May Allah grant us the ability to take heed and be careful regarding narrating Hadith.
